"A Portrait of a Postman" title sequence introduces viewers to the extraordinary dual life of Kermit Oliver, who worked as a USPS mail carrier while simultaneously designing iconic scarves for Hermès. The sequence visually bridges Oliver's contrasting worlds through a careful interplay of postal imagery and high fashion elements, setting the contemplative tone for this documentary exploration of artistic identity.

My Contributions

I animated the complete title sequence, creating a visual language that merges postal motifs with Hermès-inspired patterns and Oliver's distinctive artistic style. I developed handmade inkblot animations for visual reveals and applied elegant brush strokes for text transitions. My animation work focused on transformational movements that metaphorically express Oliver's journey between his everyday postal route and his celebrated artistic achievements.
